Questions
Is Photo Countdown Widget free?
Yes. Every widget and every feature is free, with no ads and no subscription. There is an optional tip jar in the app, but nothing is locked.
How do I add the countdown widget to my Home Screen?
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget. Search for Photo Countdown, pick a size and tap Add Widget. A new widget shows your next event on its own. To pick a different event, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget.
Can it count the days since something happened?
Yes. Pick a past date and the widget counts up, which is great for sobriety, streaks and anniversaries. When a countdown's date passes, it switches to counting the days since automatically. You can also lock an event to always count down or always count up.
Does it work on the Lock Screen and in StandBy?
Yes. There are circular, rectangular and inline Lock Screen widgets, and the Home Screen widgets also work in StandBy.
Can I count in weeks, months or years instead of days?
Yes. Each widget can show days, weeks, months or years, for example "12 weeks, 3 days".
Are my photos and events private?
Your events and photos stay on your device. There is no account and nothing to sign up for.
Which devices and languages does it support?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.6 or later. The app is in English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese and Swedish.
