Questions
How is the result calculated?
The calculator buys as many shares as your amount would have bought at the closing price on the first trading day on or after your date, then values them at the latest close. Dividends paid along the way are added as cash.
Are dividends reinvested?
No. Dividends are counted as cash you received, not used to buy more shares. Prices are split-adjusted, so stock splits don't distort the result.
Why can I only pick five investments?
The web calculator covers Bitcoin, Apple, Ford and two Vanguard ETFs. The free Fomo Calc app for iPhone works with any stock, ETF or coin, and adds recurring buys and side-by-side comparisons.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is a calculator for fun and curiosity. It ignores taxes and fees, and past performance says nothing about future returns.
