Clear Chess collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics and no server, and your games stay on your device.

What stays on your device

The following is stored only on your device. The app never uploads it, and deleting the app deletes it.

• Your games: the game in progress, finished games and their results.
• Your rating history and settings, such as the board look and the play mode you chose.

If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, the backup includes this data. Apple handles backups under its own privacy policy. Clear Chess doesn't use iCloud sync.

Analytics

Clear Chess contains no analytics or tracking of any kind and sends nothing to us.

Works offline

Clear Chess plays entirely on your device, including the computer opponent. It never connects to a server of ours.

Tips

The tip jar offers optional one-time purchases through Apple's App Store. Tips unlock nothing: every feature is free. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your name, payment details or address.

Third parties

Clear Chess has no advertising and no social sign-in. It includes no third-party code. It uses Apple's own frameworks, which run on your device.

Children

Clear Chess is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
