Sheetwise
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
Your projects never leave your device. The only thing the app sends anywhere is anonymous usage counts.
- No account or sign-in
- No ads
- No tracking across other apps or websites
- Anonymous usage analytics, with none of your content
- Optional tips through Apple; every feature is free
What stays on your device
The following is stored only on your device. The app never uploads it, and deleting the app deletes it.
- Your projects: project names, parts, materials, stock, sizes, quantities and settings.
- A few preferences: which days you opened the app, how many exports you have completed, when a review was last requested, and whether you tipped or dismissed the tip banner.
If you back up your device with iCloud or a computer, the backup includes this data. Apple handles backups under its own privacy policy. Sheetwise doesn't use iCloud sync.
Analytics
To learn which features are used and to catch errors, Sheetwise sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany), a privacy-focused analytics service. A signal is an event name plus a few coarse values:
- Feature events
- App opened; project created, duplicated or deleted; sample project added; layout calculated; undo and redo; About opened; PDF exported or printed; tip jar opened; tip banner shown or dismissed; review prompt considered or requested.
- Coarse values
- A range for the number of sheets in a layout (such as "2–5"), whether any parts didn't fit, whether you shared or printed, how many launch days and exports counted toward the review prompt, and which tip size you chose.
- Errors
- The kind of error when a layout fails its check, an export or print fails, a tip purchase fails, or the app can't open its project database.
- Standard technical details
- App version, iOS version, device model, system language and region, display and accessibility settings such as dark mode or larger text, and session counts.
- An anonymous identifier
- Made from the identifier iOS gives our apps on your device. The analytics package hashes it before sending, and TelemetryDeck hashes it again on arrival, so neither we nor TelemetryDeck can turn it back into a device identifier or link it to you.
Your projects are never sent. Project, part and material names, sizes, quantities, layouts and PDF contents are never part of any signal.
The signals are not used to track you across other apps or websites, and no advertising profile is built, which is why the app doesn't show Apple's tracking prompt. TelemetryDeck explains how it handles data in its privacy policy.
Exporting and printing
Cut list PDFs are created on your device. When you share one, you choose where it goes through the iOS share sheet. When you print, it goes to the printer you pick. The temporary copy is deleted afterwards. The PDF is never sent to us.
Contacting us from the app
"Contact the developer" opens your own mail app with a draft email. The draft includes the app version, build number and iOS version. If the app couldn't open your projects, it also includes the technical error text. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself, and you can edit or delete anything in it first.
Tips
The tip jar offers optional one-time purchases through Apple's App Store. Tips unlock nothing: every feature is free. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your name, payment details or address.
Third parties
Sheetwise has no advertising and no social sign-in. Apart from the TelemetryDeck analytics package, it includes no third-party code. It uses Apple's own frameworks, which run on your device.
Children
Sheetwise is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
